Quarter Horse Mare

The Quarter Horse Mare is a G1 mold and originally had no mold marks, but shortly thereafter received the linear "Breyer Molding Co. 1976" stamp. A few years after this the "Mexico" stamp was added, which can be seen with or without the "B" stamp. After the purchase of Breyer by Reeves International the original "Breyer" mold stamp was replaced by "Reeves International, Inc." The mold was referred to as "Head Down Horse" by Hagen-Renaker and changed to "Quarter Horse Mare" when introduced by Breyer, at  which time it was also changed from a stallion to a mare. The mold was originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen Renaker and is Breyer mold #5045. Breyer's agreement with H-R for the use of their molds ended in 2009, but the release of Primrose in 2016 suggests that Breyer and Hagen-Renaker may have reached a new agreement for the use of this and other Love molds.
